Our telehealth sessions use a secure video platform. No downloads, no apps - just click a link and connect with your therapist. Sessions are the same length and quality as in-person visits.

- Occupational therapy and speech pathology
- NDIS (plan-managed and self-managed), private, HCP, TAC, and WorkSafe

How Telehealth Therapy Works
Who is telehealth therapy suited for?
Telehealth works well for a wide range of therapy needs. It is particularly suited for people who:
- Live in regional or rural Victoria without access to local allied health services
- Have mobility limitations or transport barriers that make in-person visits difficult
- Prefer the convenience and comfort of therapy from home
- Need regular check-ins, goal reviews, or therapy plan adjustments
- Are parents or carers seeking coaching and strategies between in-person sessions
- Require mental health OT support such as routine-building and coping strategies
What to expect in a telehealth session
Telehealth sessions follow the same clinical process as in-person therapy:
- Before your session: You receive a secure video link via email or SMS. No app download is needed.
- During the session: Your therapist guides you through activities, assessments, or discussions tailored to your goals. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes.
- After the session: Your therapist sends session notes, home programs, or resources. Follow-up sessions are scheduled as needed.
- For children: A parent or carer should be present to support activities. Your therapist provides coaching so strategies can be practised between sessions.
Telehealth vs in-person therapy
Both formats have strengths. Your therapist will recommend the best option based on your goals:
Best via telehealth
Goal reviews, mental health OT, speech therapy, parent coaching, equipment training, NDIS consultations
Best in-person
Home environment assessments, physical mobility assessments, home modification recommendations, hands-on equipment trials
Hybrid approach
Many clients use a mix of both - in-person for assessments and hands-on work, telehealth for ongoing therapy and reviews
Same quality
Same therapist, same rates, same clinical standards. Telehealth is not a lesser service - it is a different delivery method
Getting set up for telehealth
You do not need any special equipment. Here is what you need:
- A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone
- A stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
- A quiet space where you can focus without interruptions
- For children: a table or desk with space for activities, and a parent or carer nearby
Victoria-wide coverage
Our in-home visits cover Melbourne metro. Telehealth extends our reach to all of Victoria, including regional and rural areas. If you are outside Melbourne and need occupational therapy or speech pathology, telehealth means you do not have to wait for a local provider.
For participants in Melbourne metro, telehealth is also available as a flexible alternative to in-home visits. Many clients choose a combination of both, depending on what works best for each session.
