About the role

We are looking for speech pathologists to join our team delivering in-home therapy across Melbourne. You will work with NDIS participants and privately funded clients across the lifespan, supporting communication, language, literacy, social skills, feeding, and swallowing.

This is community-based work. You visit clients in their homes, schools, and community settings. There is no clinic. You manage your own schedule with admin and clinical support behind you.

What you'll do

  • Deliver in-home speech pathology sessions for children and adults across Melbourne
  • Conduct assessments for speech, language, literacy, social communication, and feeding
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans with measurable goals
  • Support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) setup and training
  • Provide early intervention services for children with developmental delays
  • Write clinical reports, progress notes, and NDIS-related documentation
  • Collaborate with families, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals
  • Provide telehealth sessions for participants across Victoria

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Degree in speech pathology
  • Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility
  • Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) or eligibility
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Nice to have

  • Experience with NDIS participants
  • Paediatric or early intervention experience
  • AAC knowledge and experience
  • Feeding and swallowing experience
  • Interest in social skills group programs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need NDIS experience?

No. We welcome speech pathologists at all career stages, including new graduates. We provide onboarding and mentoring to help you get confident with NDIS processes, report writing, and plan utilisation.

What does a typical day look like?

You will generally see 4-5 clients per day, travelling between home visits across your local area. Sessions are typically 1 hour and may include direct therapy, family coaching, or assessment. Between visits you have time for notes, reports, and resource preparation.

What areas of Melbourne will I cover?

We match clients to therapists by location, so you work close to where you live. We cover south-eastern, eastern, northern, and western Melbourne metro including Wyndham and surrounding areas.

What client groups will I work with?

Our speech pathology caseload includes children and adults with developmental delays, autism, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, stroke, and progressive neurological conditions. You can indicate your preferred client groups and we will build your caseload around your interests and strengths.

What technology and tools do you provide?

We provide a laptop, phone, clinical software access, and standardised report templates. You also receive mileage reimbursement for travel between client visits.
