About Our Psychologists
To ensure professional standard quality service to you, Flourish Psychologists are fully registered and have at least a six year academic qualification, plus specialisations in their particular areas of interest. We continue to hone our craft with regular professional development, professional supervision and training.
We have more than 25 years experience in the field of psychology in research, mental health, counselling, therapy, adult education and private practice.
Treatment will only be offered in areas of the our expertise. In some cases, referral may be made to another professional with more relevant skills.
Code of Ethics
As Registered Psychologists and members of the Australian Psychological Society we are subject to professional and ethical requirements, determined both by a statutory body (Registration Board) and our professional association, the Australian Psychological Society.

Janét Moyle
B.B.Sc.(hons),
P.G.Cert. Psych. Prac., NLP Master Prac., Assoc. MAPS
Janét graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 1986 with an Honours degree in Behavioural Science. While Janét did her Honours part time she worked in infant research at La Trobe and then set up an Infant Research project at Melbourne University. She then worked in tertiary administration and tutored psychology students while continuing a reduced role in research. For a few years Janét immersed herself in the arts of dance and theatre, merging art expression and therapy. Janét later moved to Sydney, and for the last 7 years has been working one on one with clients and for 3 of those years Janét also ran therapy groups.
Janét enjoys her work and is constantly learning in order to develop her excellence as a therapist. Janét uses NLP a lot, and considers building rapport and mutual respect as a key to successful therapy. Janét's current practice incorporates several therapeutic approaches: cognitive therapy, behavioural therapy, mindfulness (Hakomi style) and neuro-linguistic programming. Janét sees mostly adults aged 20 to 60, roughly 2/3 women and 1/3 men, plus couples. Janét designed and built her clinic.
In addition to practising at Flourish Health, Janét has extensive experience as a group facilitator, co-developed the the award-winning Can-Stop program for cannabis users, and she is also an Authorized Supervisor.
Jennifer O’Sullivan (MAPS)
BA Police Studies., Grad.Dip. Org Psych., MA. Counselling.
Jennifer has worked in a number of capacities in private industries and government environments for the last twenty years. She has been practicing as a psychologist for over 10 years holding a number of senior roles working predominately in Canberra. She relocated to Sydney to work in private practice in 2006.
Her primary interests are in adult mental health issues, specifically in issues concerning trauma, depression, anxiety, the work place and parenting. She has a strong background in psychometric testing and specialises in personality profiling, vocational and selection testing and identifying psychopathology. Jennifer’s client base consists mainly of adults aged between 17 and 80 though has worked with younger clients and has conducted research relating to attitudinal and behavioural development of teenagers.
When working with clients, Jennifer tailors her therapeutic approach and uses techniques that best meet the needs of the individual. She is comfortable in using short-term approaches such as Solution-Focussed Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, though has a particular interest in Psychodynamic Therapy and is actively pursing this paradigm as part of her professional development.
Jennifer joined our practice in July 2008 and we look forward to a long association with her at Flourish Health Services.
Felicity Shagwell P O O C H
Introducing
Felicity Shagwell, Therapeutic Assistant, and her trainee Jorja Brown. Felicity works at Flourish,
Monday to Friday and is an integral member of our clinic team.
In her job as Therapeutic Assistant she specialises in stress and anxiety reduction, understanding peoples' troubles and relieving depression.
Highly credentialed, she comes from a long line of Therapeutic Assistants.
Confidentiality is her forté she has excellent listening skills and unconditional positive regard comes naturally.
She is a fantastic teacher of relaxation. Her ability to sleep and lay about is phenomenal. She is always enjoying the present.
On her days off Felicity likes to bush walk and play with other dogs.
