Osteopath Treatment

Well known local builder Lionel Buckett believes it is due to Robert Sinkora’s skills as an osteopath that he is able to walk onto a building site today.
After crushing a disc in a building accident in mid 1994, Lionel lost the use of both legs for about five months and the future wasn’t looking good.

“The surgeons wanted to operate and fuse my discs but I opted for osteopathic therapy and I’m glad I did.
I had to be carried into Rob’s room for a fair while when I first started treatment, but after a few months I was walking in on my own.
I believe my recovery is due to Rob’s skill and ability as an osteopath. The treatment has got me back on my feet and it provides pain relief as well.
If I’d had the operation there were no guarantees and it would have had to be repeated in another five to ten years anyway.
My work involves lots of heavy lifting and while I can’t do that, at least I’m back to light duties and able to walk around.
I still have a treatment once a week and I would recommend osteopathy to anyone in similar circumstances.” Lionel Buckett, Builder, Mountain Lagoon.

Over the last 5 years Jeff Morunga has suffered both work and sports-related injuries.

“Rob has been helping me over the years whenever I have a crook back and with my running. His treatments give me plenty of mobility, more flexibility, no tightness of the muscles and its lasts you for quite a while.
I most definitely recommend his treatment to other people who do sports.” Jeff Morunga, Long Distance Runner and Courier Driver

David Bailey, Proprietor of J-CADD Constructions, Richmond, needs no convincing. After suffering a back injury 15 years ago which left him with a compressed and herniated disc, David was told to give up his livelihood in the building industry and get a desk job.

“That just wasn’t possible. Basically the only treatment I received from doctors for my back problem was prescribed painkillers, but the pain persisted and has become worse in the past six years.
I have now developed an arthritic type condition in my back and the only thing that gives me complete pain relief is Robert’s osteopathic treatment. Thanks to his expertise I have a treatment once every eight weeks on average and I am pain free and able to carry on my business”.

For Don Christou, of Richmond, 28 years in the building game had resulted in arthritis from the daily wear and tear on his joints.

“It’s painful most of the time and while you tend to get used to it, every so often it really flares up and I’ve found that the only thing that enables me to keep working is regular osteopathic treatments.
The doctors tell you to take a few weeks off and rest your back, but as anyone who is self-employed knows, you just can’t do that.
I’ve been getting osteopathic treatment from Robert for about five years now. I go regularly when the arthritis flares up and then the pain is relieved and it settles down again.
If I don’t go for treatment I find it difficult to last a day sometimes, but when I go I find I can keep on working because of the pain relief the treatment provides.”Don Christou, Builder, Richmond.

Bill Pailas recently achieved his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do at 54 years of age.

”Osteopathic treatment helps me with my Tae Kwon Do as I have suffered many injuries, and after the injuries Robert fixed everything. He works very hard for the hour, I’ve tried many places, but they’re not like Robert.
Five years ago I fell on slippery concrete and after that I had a problem with my hip and started to see the osteopath.
Whenever I feel pain or a problem I always go to see Robert because he is the only one who can help with problems of muscle stress from working them hard.
I always recommend Robert to sportspeople. I have tried many places, osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, many things - Robert is one of the best.” Bill Pailas, Food Retailer and Black Belt, Tae Kwon Do

David Mason, from Grose Vale, has no doubts about the improvement in his neck condition from his treatments with Robert, and also following Robert’s recommendation of replacing his old pillow with a ‘Tempur’ therapeutic pillow early in 2002.

“I have had a chronic neck problem for many years, the result of damage done when I was involved in a car accident in my mid twenties. Robert has provided treatment for the physical damage and associated pain.
I have no doubt sleeping on this pillow has made a significant contribution to minimising the amount of pain in my neck and upper back. The pillow is an important part of the (osteopathic) therapy required to manage damage that can never be fully repaired. I take it with me if staying overnight - I even took it to England when I travelled there!
If Robert recommends the Tempur pillow to you as part of the treatment my experience suggests you should give serious consideration to that recommendation. David Mason, Grose Vale.
